reminder to self - save money!
I used to be one of those people who sat down and went through the Sunday paper clipping coupons. I have since given up on that financial quest, as it seemed like the coupons sat unused and somehow were never needed until after they had already expired.
Online shopping *should* be different. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Always look for coupons before purchasing anything on the internet! It only makes sense. I can't tell you how many times I have saved money on things like rental cars by looking for coupon codes. A quick Google search is faster, easier, and results in fewer papercuts than the old coupon clipping days, so why not? Even better, find yourself a good one-size-fits-all coupon site that features coupons for most of the top names in online shopping.
One such site that is worthy of bookmarking is called CouponChief. For example, this site includes coupons for all of the big name electronic stores, so it pains me to realize that I forgot to check CouponChief before I spent all of that money on Christmas presents at Best Buy and didn't bother checking for Best Buy coupons first.
"Aaargh!", as Charlie Brown might say. But nobody pulled that football out from in front of me. This was my own stupid mistake. Somebody ought to create an automatic coupon popup reminder, that yells at you before you enter any secure page on the net where you're about to enter a credit card number. Until then...make a mental note:
Save money!
